GI Joes

G.I. Joe's--Back in 1952, a clever pilot back home from WWII bought 2,000 army surplus mummy sleeping bags for $1.50 each. He set up shop under a tent pitched in a field in Portland, Oregon, and quickly sold all his merchandise, reaping a modest profit. Today, G.I. Joe's is a favorite Northwest retailer of sports and auto accessories, supplying customers with the gear they need to "Seize the Weekend."
